The Cornell Academic Calendar is no longer available for Oracle Calendar Users since Cornell no longer uses Oracle Calendar. The iCalendar format presented was also useful for iCal on the Mac, Mozilla Thunderbird and Mozilla Sunbird and many other calendar programs.

I have massaged the information in the on-line web page file into an iCalendar file for my own convenience. The Cornell on-line calendar at http://www.cornell.edu/academics/calendar/ includes nuances of exact start times which are largely ignored here in favor of presentation as all-day or days-long events. I hope you find it useful as well smile

Cornell also has a page at: from which you can create a custom Cornell event calendar to which you can subscribe in a variety of formats.

You may need to right-click the link to save the file to your hard drive. Be sure you save it with an ics extension. On some systems the files will be recognized as TEXT (which it also is) and a recommendation may be made to save it with extension txt override that recommendation and save it with the ics extension. Once downloaded, you will have an .ics file which can then be imported into iCal for use as a private copy of the calendar.

Alternatively, you may be able to copy the link to your clipboard and subscribe to it directly from within your calendar program. Use this method only if you do not expect to want to customize the calendar further for your use.

  • If recognized by your browser as an iCalendar file, you may be prompted to open the file directly in iCal when downloading.
  • If not directly prompted to load into iCal, double click the downloaded file. You will probably want to open it as a new calendar, separate from any others you may have.
  • You now have a local copy of the Cornell Academic Calendar as one of your calendars in iCal.

For the 2013-2014 file I typed the entries directly into iCal, that's what computers are for, right frown

For the 2014-2015 file I typed the entries directly into iCal, that's what computers are for, right? I suppose I might have used the searchable events page, but the default gave me waay more than I wanted..
