Cornell Academic Calendar in iCal Format
Here is a download, courtesy of the Instructional Technology Office of the Cornell Department of Mathematics:
- Due to changes in the iCal publishing model, a subscription link for 2012-2013 is not available. You can download the
ics file, however. See below for details.
- CU_Calendar_2014.ics: Cornell Academic Calendar in iCalendar format. You may also be able to copy the link to your clipboard and subscribe to it within your calendar program.
The Cornell Academic Calendar is no longer available for Oracle Calendar Users since Cornell no longer uses Oracle Calendar. The iCalendar format presented was also useful for iCal on the Mac, Mozilla Thunderbird and Mozilla Sunbird and many other calendar programs.
I have massaged the information in the on-line web page file into an iCalendar file for my own convenience. The Cornell on-line calendar at http://www.cornell.edu/academics/calendar/ includes nuances of exact start times which are largely ignored here in favor of presentation as all-day or days-long events. I hope you find it useful as well

Quick Overview:
The file presented here is an
.ics
file which can be directly used by iCal, and probably other software using the open iCalendar format.
The file is available from:
You may need to right-click the link to save the file to your hard drive. Be sure you
save it with an ics
extension. On some systems the files will be recognized as TEXT (which it also is) and a recommendation may be made to save it with extension
txt
override that recommendation and save it with the ics
extension. Once downloaded, you will have an
.ics
file which can then be imported into iCal for use as a private copy of the calendar.
Alternatively, you may be able to copy the link to your clipboard and
subscribe to it directly from within your calendar program. Use this method only if you do not expect to want to customize the calendar further for your use.
Not sure whether Cornell Information Technologies has any plans to publish the calendar in this format. Meanwhile, enjoy!
